PANTHER Bill McE1murrcxy Freddie Dully Katheryn Nelson President Vice President Secretary I UNE CLASS HISTGRY Three short years ago We began a chapter in our book of memories that We shall never forget. Since that day We have risen from lowly Sophomores to high and mighty Seniors. Our Sophomore class officers Were: Doyle Carlton, president, Freddie Duffy, vice president, and Mildred Woodbery, secretary. The next year Doyle was again elected president, While Bill Mc- Elmurray served as vice president and Katheryn Nelson, secretary. During our last year We elected Bill McElmurray, presidentg Freddie Duffy, vice presi- dent, and Katheryn Nelson, secretary. ln our Sophomore year, We elected as our Pantherilla nobility Lady Katheryn of the House of Nelson, and Sir Doyle of the House of Carlton, as fifth maid and courtier. ln our lunior year, they rose in their noble rank to third maid and courtier. This spring Lady Kath- eryn of the House of Nelson and Sir William of the House of Stone served as first maid and courtier. The student body chose from our class as royal rulers Queen Mildred of the House of Woodbery and King Doyle of the House of Carlton. On the athletic field We were ably rep- resented on the football gridiron by Robert Brake, Doyle Carlton, Edwin Dunn, Emmett Gentry, Billy Ienkins and loe Tamargo. On the basketball court We were represented by Doyle Carlton, Kenneth Iacobson, Bill McElmurray and lack Lawler. Billy Stone, Marjorie Lambert and Ruth Wisdom, serving as cheerleaders, have boosted our school spirit for the past three years. The student body elected from our class Doyle Carlton as president of the Stu- dent Council and Ruth Wisdom as vice president. Those who have gained scholastic rec- ognition by being chosen as members of the National Honor Society are: lane Cavenaugh, Patricia DePury, Evelyn Gillespie, Rosemary Groves, Marjorie Hansen, Charlotte Harriman, Beth Hotchkiss, Frances Hurd, Marilyn Levy, Helen Lynn, Allie Maynard, Norma Mc- Rae, Marion Neil, Margaret Olsen, Mary lo Parks, Peggy Quinby, Deborah Reed, Gloria Runton, Iack Smith, Frank Rosenblatt, Lola Anne Sparkman, Lily Star, Ralph Teijido, leane Trigg, Peggy Lee Walker, Cecile Waterman, Laura Weekly, Ruth Wisdom, Marion Wood and Lula Wright. To represent our class in the various city civic clubs, We chose Katheryn Nel- son as our PilotClub Representative and Charlie Henderson for the Rotary Club. Thus it is that behind us We have left our mark of distinction ground into the everlasting soul of our Alma Mater. That she will always uphold the stand- ards for which We have so earnestly striven is truly our heartfelt desire.
