I was thinking not long ago of the year I graduated from Plant High School, and remembering my classmates, all of whom had aspired to high achievements on the wheel of life. Being possessed of an insatiablet curiosity l thought it would be very interesting, and perhaps even amusing, to try to learn, in some way, what had happened in the past ten years to these beloved classmates of mine. Not being the seventh daughter, of a seventh daughter, or some such gifted per- son, and therefore absolutely unable to find out for myself, I communicated with the world renowned Crystal Gazer-Madame Psyche, with whom you may be more or less familiar, sent her the names and explained to her in detail the characteristics of the various individuals, in that class of June, 1929. Realizing that her reply is of vital interest to each and every one of you, I am taking this opportunity of reading to you Madame Psyche's message to us from the occult world ......... My Dear Madam: In accordance with your request I put myself in touch with the occult thru the medium of my crystal-and lo and behold the first to appear before my searching gaze was-your class beauty-Miss Ruth Ybanez, who is now world-famed for her loveliness and recently chosen Miss America ..... Next appeared ..... Eugene Montayne, an actor, another John Barrymore. As for Katherine Carter, Joy Ferguson, and Ruth Mason I see them now, mann- quins at Worth's. Louis Castor's engagement to Joan Crawford has recently been announced... Margaret Roach is now a world-famed opera singer, most noted for her perform- ance in Carmen ... Clinton Wallis and Eleanor Hodgson, popular radio announcers. Martha Dicky with her wonderful ability is touring the country as a concert pianist. Fred Thrower has made millions in the business world and is now happily married and quite settled down. Mabel Yoakley, who because of her beautiful eyes, has made millions in advertis' ing Maybelline. George Corrigan is playing opposite Dolores Del Rio in a late version of Romona. Hazel Burnett is confidential secretary to Ramon Navarro. George Davis is a notorious Chicago gunman. Mary Carnes runs a fashionable school for girls on the Hillsboro river. Maxine Winton is editor of the New York Times. Donald Dulin is now a famous artist. Louise Turner is Hollywood's foremost director and has as her secretary Winnifred Beanland. Elizabeth Jones is touring the country lecturing on Woman's Suffrage. John Thorne is now the supervisor of Tampa schools. Margaret McClintock, famous because of her now well known patent medicine used instead of dieting. Mareese Caraballo advertises Blub Jay corn plaster with her world famed feet. Joe Windham is a famous surgeon. Ruth Presnell, lecturing in New York on care of the skin. Gretta Chabot is running a close second to Gretta Garbo in the moving picture world. Francis Royer is now in Paris studying art, which he has made his life's work. Robbie Barker, secretary to the president. Shirley Bettigole has a beauty parlor which has revolutionized the permanent wave. Marguerite Correll is now called the second Florence Nightingale. Marie Gramigna's private orchestra has made a name for itself over WDAE. Daphne Hebb is running a bus line which guarantees to get children to school on time. Dixie Jeffries is teaching oral English With Olive Ladd as attendance officer for Hillsborough County no child has played hooke . Wsinifred Tumblin is a caterist who specializes for wedding parties. Her latest. success was the parties planned for Allison Maxon, who married late in life. Margaret Pollock's office experience made her take up telephone business. She has passed regulations that no one can talk over two minutes at a time. Margaret Reeder has a floral shop. 1929

Rebecca Price-a missionary to Africa. Fernguanita Latta, dean of girls at Plant,High School. Lyle Williams, speaker in the house of representatives. Jo Waterman, starred in Ziegiield Follies. Ermine Pate and Helen Williams running a large hotel in Georgia. Thomas Cressler, Vernon Lastinger and Laban Lively are now college football coaches. Augusta Topping, Elizabeth McRae, Virginia McKenzie, owners of Fifth Avenue's most famous dressingmaking establishment. Mary Elizabeth Stuart and Oscar Elder have been happily married for some years and are now living in Seffner. William. Joubert's laugh has won him a place in the talkies, Elizabeth Durkee has returned to Czechoslavakia where she now tells the school children of the queer American customs. Bertha Hamner is married of course. Ben Thompson is a civil engineer. Rhea Gallagher and Nellie Sullivan astounding the country with their wonderful ability as athletes. Lois Mays, owns the largest candy factory in Plant City, Mary Alice Lawrence, house mother at the S. A. E. House at the U. of Florida. Ruth Massman and Elsie Taylor both married Atlanta millionaries, Rosalie Geraci and Jack Harris have taken the place of Helen Wills and Ben Tilden in the tennis world.
