1986, A WELL-CONSTRUCTED In each man's soul there is imprinted a desire to build the best possible life for himself and his family. Into his hands are placed the tools he will need, hut he alone must choose the blueprint which will determine the finished structure. Some men seek adventure. They huild ships with the capacity to sail to new worlds, new experiences, new horizons. Others seek security. They build homes and hospitals, schools and businesses. Some seek peace. They build churches and cathedrals. Their lasting contributions stand for future generations to admire', challenges to fire the imaginations of new builders. building begins early. From the time man can think, he begins to build the life he seeks. Education adds tools and materials to his workshop. I hroughout this school year each of the 950 students builds. Every day each one picks up hammer and nails, level and plane, and puts his hand to the task. The pages of this yearbook present pictures of well-constructed lives, fulfilled dreams, accomplished performances. It is, collectively, a monument of memories built lovingly to celebrate a year which salutes every man's vocation: A Call to build. r The Vocational Carpentry class begins construction on their carpentry house early in the Appropriate eyewear is important for safety in Vocational Welding. A CALL TO BUILD!!! A CALL TO BUILD!!! A CALL TO BUILD!!! The 1985-86 year u as filled with excitement and activities. There was tremendous school spirit shown at each pep rally, and the hand did a super job at each game. Homecoming added to the fun as students participated in Spirit Week and the Hall Decorating Contest. The football team rallied from a 21 point deficit to finish just 2 points shy of the win. School dances, Fun Festival, and , talent shows were just a few things that filled the year. Football was not the only sport that shined with Tiger Pride; basketball, golf track, and weightlifting proved that Guymon High School has many gifted athletes. Together we made unforgettable memories. Together we built the perfect student life. Ready for action, Charlie Mallard Our Ramho, Alvin Madrid, takes a day off from bis “grueling” schedule, “wears his sunglasses at night. “ The sophomore class decorated the commons area for Homecoming Week.
