Well it happened that the PTA was gonna meet this very afternoon And they were sure surprised when Mrs. Gardner wore her black mini-skirt into the room And as she strolled up to the black board, I can still recall the words she had to say She said, “I’d like to address this meeting of the Guymon High School PTA. “Well, there’s Jerry Toler sittin’ there and seven times he’s asked me for a date And Mrs. Toler sure seems to use a lot of ice whenever he's away And Mr. Southwick could you tell us why your secretary had to leave this town And shouldn’ Linda Bowling be told to keep her window shades all pulled completely down.” “David Camp couldn’t be here ’cause he stayed to long at Jolly Tavern again And if you smell of Larry White’s breath you’ll, find he’s had a little nip of gin And then you have the nerve to tell me, you think as a mother I’m not fit Well, this is just a little Peyton Place and you’re all Guymon High School hypocrites” Now I wouldn’t put you on, it really did happened just this way The day our teach socked it to, the Guymon High School PTA. 33 A True Friend Is Worth Christine Avril came to GHS this year as a foreign exchange student from Paris, France.
