Newcomers Get a Tiger Welcome PAT BUCHANAN has attended Guy- mon High School for two years and has been an active member of the Pep Club. Pat lists cooking and sewing as her favorite pastimes. She would like to attend Southwestern and be- come an elementary teacher. JERRY BUNCH, Vice-President of his Junior and Senior classes, is in Boy’s Glee Club, Math, and Science Club. Jerry will go to PSC and then OU Medical School where he will prepare for a career in the medical field. MARCIA BURKETT is an active member of FHA and was elected pres- ident this year. After graduation from OSU she would like to be a social worker or home economics teacher. 15

PHYLLIS BENNETT has attended Guymon schools for twelve years. She lists horseback riding and swimming as her hobbies, and plans to further her education at P.S.C. The Tiger seems to be the first person the Senior new-comers met when entering the doors to Guymon High School. Joe Dondlinger from Gruver, Texas, receives an envious eye from Cathy Foster, Perryton, Texas; Sue West, Stratford, Texas; Jan Morgan, Artcsia, LORETTA BLACKBURN is in the Pep Club, FHA and Girl Scouts.. Lo- retta enjoys horse back riding and writing to her pen pals. She is going to attend Enid Business College. ALLEN BREITHAUPT, a twelve year Guymonite, plans to become a com- puter repair engineer. He plans to attend Panhandle State then transfer to Denver University.

RAYMOND BUXTON has been a member of the Class of ’69 for eight years. Raymond names cars and track as his pastimes and hobbies. Panhandle is Raymond’s choice of colleges. PHIL BYERLEY is in Drama Club and ICT. Phil is undecided on the col- lege he hopes to attend but wants to be a mechanic or physical education teacher. LINDA CAMPBELL, Senior cheerlead- er, is in the Oklahoma and National Honor Societies. Linda is president of her MYF youth group. She would like to follow a career as an elementary school teacher. The crowning of the 1968 Football Queen was a highlight of the Guymon Tigers Homecoming. Jill McMurry was crowned queen by her escort Otis Barnum. Her court was Una Jo Mahancy, escorted by Melvin Earl, and Nancy Northup, escorted by Hardy Collins. 4
