Jerry Rimes, from Stonewall County, is the only member who has been in school here for the twelve years without interruptions. Charles Hensley has been here for nearly twelve years. From Kendall County, we have Rudy Rocha: from Cottle County, Charles Hensley, Joe Ross, and LaDe1le Keith: from King, Elizabeth Turner and Boydine Flipping from Harrison, Joe Ivie: and from Fisher, William Brazee. Jerry Rimes was born in Stonewall county. Started to school at Guthrie in the first grade. Went into high school in 1954. Played football Freshman, Jr. , and Sr. years. All-district center in 1958. President of his class during his Sophomore, Jr. and Sr. Years. Enteredjn numbersense every year in high school. On Mr. Guthrie Jr. and Sr. years. Class Favorite his Senior year. Won third in tennis his sophomore year and fourth his Jr. year. Was editor of this yearbook. , Elizabeth entered Guthrie her Freshman year from Finney. She has participated in basketball, volleyball and tennis. She has won all-district forward her Junior and Senior year. And has lettered four years in basketball. Was chosen captain of the basketball team her Junior and Senior year. Was basketball sweetheart her Junior year. Has been on the annual staff for two years. Class Secretary and Treasurer her Senior year. Elected Most Popular in 1957-58 Was a member of the Senior Class Play. Has been on Miss Guthrie for four years. Boydine was born in King County and has lived in the county all her life. She at- tended her first six years of school at Dumont. She started to school at Guthrie at the beginning of the seventh grade. She played basketball and participated in the pep squad for four, years. She was the 1957-1958 football sweetheart. She is valedictorian of the Senior class and is in Miss Guthrie this year. She was a member of the Senior class play. The last two years she has been on the annual staff. Charles was born in Paducah. He has been in Guthrie all of his school years. He lettered in football two years. He was twice named on the all-district football team. He is a member of the annual staff and was class president our freshman year. Joe Ivie entered Guthrie from Avoca in his Senior year. He participated in track, volleyball, and baseball. He was also rr.anager of the basketball team. He was select ed most popular boy. LaDelle entered Guthrie in the fourth grade from Paducah. She has participated in basketball and the pep squad for three years. She represented Guthrie in tennis singles in her Sophomore year. She won figure in Miss Guthrie for two years and was selected class favorite for 1958. Joe Rex, whom we gained at midterm, started in Guthrie, but moved away to re- turn as a sophomore. He was the Senior vice president last year. He lettered one year in football. Rudy entered school here in the eighth grade. He was freshman class favorite. if He lettered in football one year and participated in dramatics his Senior year. Joe Ross entered school here as a freshman. He lettered two years in basketball.
