CLASS HISTORY ln nineteen hundred and fifty three fifteen boys and glrls entered the portals of hugh school at Guthrle to begin the second stage of advancement In their lives Now these rowdy boys and giggling gurls were to become young men and women Our Freshman year was one of trlals and trlbulatlons We were here to learn a lot and had a lot to learn Our offlcers were Rlta Siler, President, James Emberton, Vice President, Jack Morgan, Secretary and Treasurer, Belvle Woolsey, Reporter Our sponsor was Mr Bully Wayne Covington As we entered our Sophomore year we looked on the past year with pleasant memories and to the future one with hopefulness We selected as our leaders Pres :dent Tommy Cannon, Vice President, Jim Golden, Secretary, Rita Siler, Report ers, Wanda Ross, and Joyce Wlllls We acquired at this time a wonderful sponsor Mrs Galloway Harper Cannon, Vlce President, Vicky Gardner Secretary, Joyce Willis Treasurer Bobby Frey Reporters, Mary Ruth Reagan and Jack Morgan We gave the Sensors a banquet at the Royal York Hotel In Clarksville Now we have reached the summit In hugh school and look forward to even greater things Our class officers this year are Tommy Cannon, President, Jim Golden, Vice President, James Emberton, Secretary, Jack Morgan, Treasurer Bobby Frey and Charles Crawford, Reporters The only members of our class to enter the flrst grade and complete all their twelve years at Guthrie are Bobby Frey and Jack Morgan Mrs Harper has been our guide and counselor for the past three years, and has taught us many of the fmer thmgs of life We hope we can llve up to the highest expected of each of us We aim to llve fruitful and prosperous lives and thus lend some renown to our Alma Mater Class Historian Jim Golden I0 I I l . - . .
