On October 17, 1955, the tenth annual G. C. Homecoming was held. The course of events began with a parade, which started at the high school, went through Main Street and ended at the new athletic field on the south side of town. The Audubon band, as guest, marched in the parade. The Service Club gave prizes for the best floats and stunts. The winners of the class floats were Sophomores, first: Juniors, secondgand Seniors, third. Miss Brunner's home room placed first in the home room float division and the FHA and FFA float placed second. The game was played well with Guthrie coming out on top 14-0. At half-time the Guthrie and Audubon bands performed. Riding in convertibles, the Queen, Margaret Miller and her attendants, Bethene Ohm, Ardis Covault, Judy Riaski, and Florine Phippen, came onto the field. Captains Jerry Covault and Lyle Linton then crowned Queen Margaret. Immediately following the game, the dance began. The gym was decorated in blue, white and amber. The queen and her attendants descended from their throne of gold and white to begin the dance with the Grand March, Music was provided by Keith Killinger's Orchestra. - 7:-If Page Sponsored by REBS LOCKER
