ACAD MIC VICE PRES and DEA of COLLEGE Since his arrival to Gulf Park, Dean Pierce has been a cohesive and dominating force. His educational philosophy of a private liberal arts college providing something about a lot of things and a lot about somethings explains his attempt to bring the best of both the traditional liberal program and the vocational program into our curriculum. Well-versed in the coming trends and purposes of junior colleges, Dean Pierce strives to permit and encourage each student to pursue educational opportunities to the fullest extent of her capabilities to assure preparation for both an intellectually and morally satisfying life and a productive career. Dean Pierce always has time to listen to the problems of faculty and students alike, from the perplexing frustration and fear of anticipating the future of a girl trying to declare a major and decide an university to transfer to or to the simple change of a class schedule. He is responsible for stimulating the seriousness of cooperative efforts of students and faculty in fulfilling individual educational goals. 7-4 Neff! DAVID J. PIERCE X
