HONOR The Scottish playwright James M. Barrie has said that if a person has charm he needs nothing else, but if he has no charm it doesn't matter what else he has. And charm describes Colonel Eugene A. Wink, professor of European and Ameri- can history at Gulf Park. From 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.lVl., students find in Room 7A, a pixie-smiling, pipe-smoking gentleman lecturing enthusiastically on his great love-history. Wars, political and economical movements, and personalities become alive and important to students as they learn of their cultural, as well as historical, background. Like all great teachers, Colonel Wink has guided his students in many ways other than historical ones simply by his gentleness, his courtly manners, his willingness to help in any way he can. Because he has helped us grow intellectually, culturally, emotionallyg because he has been our friend, as well as our professor, because he is one whom we admire and love .... we dedicate the SEA GULL of 1960 to Colonel Eugene A.
