Mrs. julia Rine, Dean of Students of Gulf Park, has been an inspiration to each of us. Like a warm spring breeze, she extends a helping hand, a touch of per- sonal interest and cheerfulness over all. With a gracious manner and a pleasant smile, she has helped us through a year filled with priceless memories. . . . fine genfi fowm The Intellectual Touch at Gulf Park is governed by Miss Lucy Louise Hatcher, whose aim is to promote high schol- astic achievement, an essential for successful living. Each year Gulf Park girls are entertained by an annual picnic at Huck. After that, parties continue throughout the year-from the seniors entertaining Pensacola cadets there the day after their dance to small groups resting up from the strenuous school life. f l A new year but an old treat. Yes, the entire student body eliinbed on board ship when all day trips were made to picturesque Ship Island early in the lall and late in the spring. It began with an hour's voyage out into the Gull' of llviex- ico. W'hen the crew dropped anchor some of us headed for the salty rolling waves, others ex- plored the Spanish Fort, while still others toasted themselves contentedly upon the white sand. Pienieking, suntanning. a blue sky above, and lovely rnerrnaids fthat's usj scattered over the island-surely this must have been a sailor's paradise. King Neptune, himself, added the fi- nale to our trips for the rays of the sinking sun danced upon the silver waves and dazzled our eyes on our return trip.
