XX M ? Q-v I Qefbcakolz ,g, H- M at ' ' R- .l l A friendly smile , . . a willingness to help others . . . a gracious manner , . . a generosity of time and effort . . . all are characteristics of Dr. and Mrs. Richard C. Cox, President and Dean of Residence of Gulf Park College. Twenty-nine years ago these two had an idealistic dream . . . to found a girls' school where the individual could strive for maturity through high scholastic standards, gracious living, and cooperation. Regardless of the depression or a second world war, that dream became a reality, and today the name Gulf Park bears significance the world over. Here at Gulf Park they have indeed established a record which they can look upon now and in the future with pride and satisfaction. The gentle philosophy and unyielding standards of the Cox's will be carried on next year by Dr. Charles Hogarth. To you, Dr. and Mrs, Cox, who have given a lifetime of service and have built an institu- tion from a dream to you, who will always live in our hearts, and in a thousand others . . . we proudly dedicate the 1950 SHA GULL.
