First, they had a hay ride and a potluck to enable members to get acquainted. To make meetings more interesting, profes- sional people were invited to speak. The group planned to donate a tape deck in its name to help furnish 151, the new student lounge. N.H.S. ended the year by inducting new mem- bers and ushering at Baccalaureate and Commencement. Radio, library work develop new skills One of the newest clubs at Guilford this year was the Radio Club. Sponsored by Mr. John Thomas, the club made plans to build a radio station at Guilford. The station, scheduled to begin broadcasting next fall, will have an oper- ating power of two watts and will broadcast just at Guilford. For a library to work smoothly, it must have able workers. Guilford's library assistants have been trained by lVlrs. Vivian Homewood to be just that. During the year, club members res- tacked books, filed cards, ran errands, and helped keep the library operating. The assist- ants also received formal training in library work, reporting to the library every day and occasionally taking tests covering the work they did. RADIO CLUB, FRONT ROW: K. Owano. J.
