This year's basketball season was highlighted by the first Regional championship in the his- tory ofthe school. Dave Noreen, '73, amassed new game and season records for assists. His season total was double the previous record. Chris Loy, '74, set a season scoring record. Team leader Pat Coblentz, '73, contributed his tenacious defense and deadly corner shot. Craig Cameron, '74, outside shooting special- ist, scored high in each game. Although Frank Mioni, '74, started scoring toward the end of the season, he grabbed a record number of rebounds. Supersub Bill Friede, '73, gave relief to the starters and added spark to the game with good ball-handling and shooting. Tim Donahue, '73, on the injured list for most of the season, added depth to the Viking lineup when he was able to play. Future Viking bas- ketball teams should be strong, with Loy, Cameron, and Mioni returning and talented juniors and sophomores coming up.
