Guilford Tankers The Varsity Swim team came back from a 5-4 dual meet season to win the conference and the district and place 8th in the state. Leading the team was Brian Linderoth, who finished lst in the 100-yard freestyle and 2nd in the 50- yard freestyle in the state meet. Backing up Linderoth in state meet were Kurt Jensen, who placed Sth in the 50-yard freestyle, Larry McAnarney placed 12th in diving, and finish- ing 7th inthe 400-yard freestyle were Mike Behr, Dan Butler, Jensen, and Linderoth. Also adding depth throughout the season were Frank Lang in the 100-yard Butterfly and But- ler in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle.
