Gymnastics builds muscles, coordination Coach Ron Cornelius brought together the best Guilford gymnastics team in its three- year history and had a successful season. Since Guilford had the only gymnastics team in the Big Nine, the gymnasts had to leave Rockford to find competition. They met most of this competition in the Chicago suburbs and managed to compile a winning record. Senior Karl Dundore led the team, his special- ties being the high bar, parallel bars, and rings. Strength was also added to the team by junior Fred Gault, sophomore Bob Stieg on the trampoline, and junior Lenny Ploplus on the still rings. The many underclassmen on the team show great potential for Guilford's gym- nastic team in the coming years.
