Gustafson. ...xi Russian Club, Burlski Volgi, planned many activities this year. These included a Cabbage Christmas Party and a trip to Chicago to see a Ukrainian dance troupe. Taken from the original club constitution, the purpose of the club is, to provide an op- portunity for students of the Russian language to meet together on an informal basis, to aug- ment and increase the understanding of the Russian language and people who speak itg and to increase the understanding and enjoy- ment of Russian culture, literature and art. Leading the club this year were Larry Coop- er, presidentg Sue Dundore,vice-president, Mary Plaszczewski, treasurer, and jim Frederick, sec- retary. Russian Club member, Tim Benson, helps Sue Dundore, vice-president and Larry Cooper, president, pour tea from a Russian 'samovar.

Lar- son, Vice-Pres., L. Carlson, D. Person, K. johnson, C. Kepner, S. Rosell. FBLA's activities are designed to answer these questions: Who can plan for a career in business? What are the different jobs or careers open to business majors? How does one go about getting a job? Encouraging scholarship, thrift, and competent business leadership, FBLA supplemented monthly meet- ings with a Christmas party, visits to local businesses, and speakers. FBLA, COE, Prepare for Business Leadership Cooperative Office Education is a newly-formed business club organ' ized to provide an opportunity for its senior members to develop them- selves for various jobs involving secretarial duties. This is done by the members attending classes in the morning until 12:10 and for the remainder of the day, working throughout the city. Activities included the Homecom- ing float, candy sale, and a fashion show sponsored by Weise's. The girls in this club felt that it was a very profitable program which fulfilled its purpose, and that it would be even more successful in the future. l . l , ii! - COE - Frou! Row: A. Musser, S.
