Promoting interest and participation in the r I field of political science and keeping the stu- ' dent well-informed on major political issues are the two main goals of the Political Science Club. Among this year's activities were an after- game dance and a project in which food was sent to the American boys in Viet Nam. The club also featured politicians such as john B. Medical Science Balloons Raise Funds 98 Medical Science members sold balloons at Rockford Plaza on a Saturday afternoon to raise money for Guilford's foster children. 1 4 7 M. 1' 1 ' 1 Y I W x f To cover the widespread fields of all of the medical sciences, the Medical Science Club con- sists of students interested in the fields of nurs- ing, dentistry, lab technology, therapy, diete- tics, and others. By having speakers from the various professions, the members were able to learn more about the type of work and the training necessary for it. Sue Johnson, '67, was the president of the club this year. Linnea Blomberg, '68, was the vice-president, Chris Wright, '69, the secretary, and julie Natho, '68, the treasurer. Miss Helen Magnuson and Mrs. Carolyn Osinski were the club's advisors. Instead of having a Christmas party, the club visited the Children's Convalescent Home and brought cookies for a spring party.
