Pep Club balloons are released during half time of a football game. to a friend across the room. Since Pep Club began this year at Guilford, not only was a new attendance record of 410 set, but the number of activities also increased. Balloons were sold at most of the major home football games, and for both foot- ball and basketball games, members painted posters and learned cheers to instill enthusiasm in the student body. A dance following the basketball tip-off was co- sponsored by G.A.A. and Pep Club. Pep Club president Nancy Shepherd stated that, All the officers had fun planning these activities, and they feel that it has been a very successful year.
