Enlarged Library Stimulates Assistants Checking books in and out, shelving books, and find- ing magazines, are but a few ofthe many duties of the library assistants. These assistants gain experience by working in the library and by helping other students use the library facilities. Since the library was expanded, an added job of know- ing where everything goes was placed on each assistant. Despite this factor, everything was organized quickly and efficiently. Cheerleaders, Revises Initiation Ceremon T This year the R-Club worked to promote school spirit in the true sense of the word. The R-Club is a select group of young men and women who have earned a sophomore, junior varsity, or a varsity award in ath- letics. This was the first year the cheerleaders took an active part in the club's activities, and the boys all felt they played an impor- tant role in making the year a success. Selling booster buttons, calendars, R-Club pins and jackets, the R-Club financed a fall hayride, an after-game dance, and a spring dance. This year a new ceremony for initi- ating new members was established. Mr. Norm Erickson was the club's sponsor.
