The Student Exchange Program, whereby three Guilford council members spent a week at Champaign while three Champaign students attended Guilford, was Student Council's greatest project. The Council also initiated the tutoring system. In addition, it sponsored two fos- ter children, Homecoming, pep rallies, and the paperback book store. Bob Floden, '67, counts out change while selling books at the Student Council Bookstore.

Not more then five per- cent ofthe junior class and notmore than fifteen percent of the senior class are chosen. The purpose of the society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in the stu- dent of Guilford High School. Un- der the supervision of Miss Sue Patrick, the society at each grading period awarded a scholastic ban- ner to a homeroom from each class with the highest grade point aver- age. The society also conducted the Induction Assembly for new mem- bers in the spring. N.H.S. - From' Row: C. Cibelius, M. Faeth, S. Ring, P. Bardoulas, C. Carlson, N. Tyson, A. Cordon, C.
