HUH I! ,■ ■ Autumn . . . dancing leaves of red and brown and yellow . . . evening skies in flaming; sunsets . . . cool breezy nights . . . that Carolina moon . . . once as;ain it ' s September, and Guilford springs to life. . . . September 13 . . . campus leaders on the Student Affairs Board meet at the lake for a picnic given l v Dr. Milner . . . the warm greetings and comfortable familiarity of old friends . . . loads of food . . . and fun . . . still hard to believe that this was actually our lake . . . the next day, lots ol new faces in the dorms . . . lost . . . curious . . . expectant . . . by the fifteenth all the Freshmen had arrived . . . there were lots of them . . . the dorms were filled up . . . some already old friends with each other . . . and with upperclassmen . . . thanks to the Fall Planning Conference . . . and the Freshmen Camp sponsored by the Student Christian Association . . . about sixty students .it Camp Nawakwa . . .
