The first student body consisted of twenty- five irls and twenty-five boys. Founders Hall, with the dining-room connected by a covered walk, com- prised the physical equipment of the school, the g,irls and boys living entirely separated even though under the same roof. . . . Nathan Hunt ' s joy on that first day is preserved for us in the diary of Delilah Reynolds, one of the first students of the newly founded school.
