Iust trying to enter the lunch room or going to a locker can be a major event. The list of hassles goes on ............ Do you have a pass? That infamous pass, the one you never have when the hall monitors demand it. They can make trying to quickly drink or slipping into the bathroom turn out to be time- consuming hassle. Students resent this restriction and consider it an unnecessary hassle to have to procure a pass for the short -turn necessities. Can I see your I.D.? Every hungry student hears this everyday while waiting outside the lunchroom door to be admitted. The long wait to get in and then another to get your food leaves a limited amount of time to actually eat. The whole ordeal is a major complaint from students. Our minds tell us the correct time to eat, but our stomach's don't. These are all characteristics that all students have had to deal with five days per week for the past four years, and have become accustomed to. They're nuisances, that's all. When we look back later we probably won't remember theseg only the good will hold places in our memories. 4' ar-'M li' 1' I -as if gl 35' IARED RUTHMAN gun I ' , W. .3 IOYCE RYU PETER AMIR SAHAFI DANIEL SALKIN LISA SATTERLEE RAYMOND SAUNDERS H SEGENBERGER EDWARD gi TODD SINKINS WAYNE SLINGERLAND BRENDA SMITH FREDRICK SMITH DAVID SPARANO LAURI SPARGO CHRISTINE SPENZIERO THOMAS STONE I ' fa. j , ,V , ir- v I T 21,4 AMES STOTT SUE SULLIVAN VIRGINIA TABER LEIGH TARENTINO V41 U. -aw--O Wm.-Q..--:. i u r Qmaql., , si , .ai -all 9 VANZANDT LORI VERRIGNI .i . .ef 'Q 'z 5 ,Hx u, .r 1 , X I Xx. .Q . 1 f 451 s. in -.Iv f. Every day students of our school trudge to their math classes. For some math is a breeze for others it is the hardest thing that they will encounter. This year the computer mathematics curriculum was revised to better meet the needs of the students. The development of mathematical skills and concepts continues to be the primary emphasis in math classes as well as the ability to successfully solve the problems. At the present time there is a national emphasis on problem solving and strategies that could he used. This year Consumer Mathematics is a new course that has been developed bythe department to help students meet the new requirements of 2 units of math for graduation. It is being offered for the first time this year. Thomas Farrelly is the newest addition to the school's math department. He is replacing Robert Williams who retired in Iune of 1985. We gained in confidence as a program, we gained in numbers and most importantly we established lacrosse as the spring thing to do. 1986 brings out 80 boys for lacrosse, all with sound fundamentals and a super attitude. We anticipate a more successful win-loss record and we will continue to build the sound foundation all successful programs have. 5 . 'D Q ., J. 'fry , - .W ' Q H., ,. X Raj' jv' 5 tivtivse if? This fine group of talented irls priztitte close to three hours a day to he surf, they are in top form for the upcoming game. They are also responsible for knowing many cheers, vihich they must execute properly in n- chronization with the other cheerleaders. ln addition to this, they must learn time-out cheers and smile cheerfully as people climb on and over their backs to make pyramids and other bizzare formations. In ad- dition to leading cheers this well rounded group did other things as well. They make posters encouraging the player to win. Our Cheerleaders also went to competitions. ln the Saratoga Competition they placed se- cond overall and at the Siena Com- petition they placed third. The Cheerleaders do all of this voluntari- ly. These girls are faithful to their commitments and work as hard as any of the other athletes. They get pulled muscles from jumping and do' ing splits and strained voices from screaming to cheer our teams on.
