It is fall, and the trees are laden with leaves of gold, orange and red- the colors of the sun. The air is fresh and crisp, the birds are flying south and children are romping around in a beautiful pile of leaves. But fall is much more than a change of season. It is a change in attitude and feelings about oneself. lt is an end. lt is a beginning. For most people, fall brings conflict- ing feelings. lt is the end of the carefree times of summer and the beginning of the kaleidoscope of new experiences. Fall is a return to the routine and regularity of school. But it also holds an enticing my- stery of the unknown. Who knows what is in store in the upcoming year? All one can do is look forward to the future with l I1 I J' .1 ff' 'V lc, K n I ff ' 'fit ff Q ' 4 'K - I A ' 4 optimism and anticipation. There will be bad times, but there will be many good times, too. Face the future and make it a friend. Fall brings with it the excitement of new ideas, new opportunities. new goals. lt is the time to do things one never thought of do- ing before: join a club, adopt a new hobby, clean one's rooml Halloween is one of two high- lights of fall. People dress up and pretend they are someone else. lt is a time for enjoyment and silli- ness. People forget their troubles and stop being themselves for one crazy night.
