At the close of this year our memories never fade, Memories of our freshman greaser dance and class trip to Riverside, which now are just moments to look back upon, are what started us oft on our four years of school. The activities of our Sophomore year include a candy bar sale, the Sophomore Semi-Formal and class trip. Our Junior year included two tun- draising candy sales, the Tamarac concert after one of the football games, Powderputf Football, and a benefit concert held in the auditorium. In this year the class of '79 broke GuiIderland's tradition and held the Junior Prom in May, outside ot school at the Sheraton lnn in Colonie. Our Senior year was undoubtedly the best. In the tall, we strengthened our treasury with both an MGM sale and a magazine sale. Seniors also par- ticipated in Powderpuft Football and a T-shirt sale in the fall. The Senior Tree Trimming Party and Christmas Win- dow Decorating Contest were revived this year. Other activities included a ski trip and a Senior-Parent Dinner. The highlight of the year was the Senior Ball, which was held at the Empire State Plaza on June 9. The climax of our stay came on our Graduation day - a day filled with as many tears as smiles. The G.C.H.S. class ot '79 will now break apart, the times we shared will live forever, in photographs and mem- ories. The clouds have turned many ol our skies grey. And now we've started to grow, Feeling the pains of lite. We see that things don't always come our way That's when we think back To the times we talked and laughed. The times we cried. We must choose right from wrong, And we must try to keep going on. As we go on we remember. And we leel the sun start to shine. And we only wish you could be here, To share our lives with you. To bring a smile to your face, And warmth to your heart.
