5 it Anything from painting a self- portrait to making a rug, could very well be the projects one sees while walking through the art rooms. The soft melodic voice of Joni Mitchell to the dricing, thunderous notes of Grand Funk Railroad, achieves an atmosphere that is only common to those rooms. Drawing, painting, arts and crafts, advertising, and mechanical draw- ing are courses offered that may very well affect one's whole life style. If a student is planning to attend college and a portfolio is re- quired, much attention and many helpful hints are given by the teach- ers of the department. Crafts, Yearbook Advisor DRIVER EDUCATION Mr. Wayne Goodnow This course consists of classroom instruction and of course, actual driving practice. Traffic laws, common courtesy to fellow drivers and good driv- ing habits are all part of Driver Ed. All .students are required to drive under the supervision of a skilled instructor. Driver Ed. is a very popular course due to the fact that when a student finishes this course he receives a blue card, which allows him to drive at night, unchaperoned. Mr. John T.
