Pltulippuzu Isiamts l the everyday language that is used in and about Operations Department at work. To the layman this language may occasionally sound un- familiar or even strange, but to those who know, it's the sound of professional skill in action. But Operations greatest asset is its ability to work as a team. Certainly Communications, in the Radiomcn and Signalmen, does a fine job of bringing in and sending out vital information concerning the ship's movement. But naturally this information is no good unless it is utilized, which is where CIC and Nav- igation come in, to insure GUADAL UPE is headed in the right direction. Finally, all the while, the Electronics Technicians have been standing by, ready to repair and maintain when needed the electronic equipment so vital to the Departmenfs smooth operation. Constant alertness on the part of ops., GUADALUPE's eyes and ears, has helped to contribute to her reputation for reliability in WestPac. GUADAl.,UPE's senses have enabled her to consistently track down customers, discover their re- quirements, and then navigate to their side to provide the services they need. ,ag '-5: '- ,l,'f.r'x5iLLQgt,RDf R.51'.Gl, Ll.ua,QUf Q L K,4l3fi n',RU5 .r L .tl ,RDA I . v. i Aft' ,.
