It surely was fun, and an addition to our feeling of importance when we were able to take part .in fthe initiation of the freshmen. We felt as though we were being recompensed for our being seduced to the rigora ous procedures of last year's initiation. As a class, we feel that we have accomplished many Worth while things during our two years at Grundy High This year we boast of being the first sophomore class ever to elect a football queen. Billy Faye London, the queen, was crowned with a beautiful ceremony at the stunt night performance. Although we won neither the book nor the magazine contest, we were stiff com- petitors and second only to the Freshman Class in both of these contests. We have members in all of the clubs and are espo- cially proud of several members of the Beta Club and the National Forensic League. Our chief regret is that several members of our class have already dropped out. In fact, two from our midst decided to take the nfatal stepn for nbotter or worse,n Ue hope it proves to be the former. Finally we would express our gratitude to all who are making it possible for us to attend Grundy County High School. We have enjoyed our sophomore year and n .. .v 1 ' ' .. , are eagerly looking forwa1d to our Junior year.
