Don Roberts was leading the band at Grundy High. How it thrilled me to know that in the future there would be a new gymnasium, a new stadium, and the field xmas flood-lighted. There was an inside swimming pool. I could hardly believe my eyes. Nareie Mae Brazile was the swimming instructor, and Betty Sue Meeks and Leone ard Suter were the coaches for Grundy. I saw myself walking across the beautiful, well-kept campus. I was meeting the former Elouise Henley and Katherine Almany who had decided to leave school before graduation in order to get that Irs. Degree. Many things had hap- pened for the betterment of the school since I had graduated. The woman and I looked into the ball again.EverMh 1g seemed to grew very dim but after all I had seen mxmgm I had learned the future of my classmates, and ,I was well pleased with their accomplishments. Thanking the old lady for all the information and bidding her a ver- y pleasant good-night, I hastily made my way out of the forest. It was getting late, and I suddenly thought a- bout all the lessons I must prepare for the next day. Having used our text books widely, having stored our minds with their contents. as well as with the contents of books from the liorcry, ard having served our time for four or tive years, we are silent- ly and regrctfully stepping out of tte picture of Grundy County High School, leaving our places, books, and the attention and instruction of the teachers to the future generations of Grundy County High School. Realizing that we are no longer a part of this high school, we do judge it a privilege to put our signa- tures to our last will and testament. To our dear teachers we leave the solemn promise that they will never be forgotten for their time, pa- tience, love, understanding, and talents that we have exhausted.
