New members to our class were Barbara Ashbaugh, Betty Grindstaff, Cledity Farris, and Pat Wainscott. Our advisor was Mr. Walsh. We elected our class officers: President, John Fast; Vice President, Gary McClure; Secretary, Bonnie Foust; Treasurer, Maureen Ferrell; Student Council Representative, Cherylee Doenges. During the year we kept busy with a skating party, magazine sales, bake sale, and a class party. Beginning our year as Silly Sophomores we lost 4 members: Brooks Myers, Barbara Ashbaugh, Betty Grindstaff, and Kenneth Bowers. Our membership was 29, with the addition of Dave Aldrich. Our advisor was Mr. Wertenberger. We elected class officers: President, Debra Scarbrough; Vice President, Lonnie Miller; Secretary, Greg Johnson; Treasurer, Cherylee Doenges; ' 3-° Student Council Representative, Cledith Farris. Our money V making projects included a skating party, magazine sales, bake sale, and picking up corn for farmers of the area. We began our year as Jolly Juniors with the addition of Gerald Morrison and David Smith from Michigan. Our advisor was Mr. Birkhold. This year ' s officers were: President, Gary McClure; Vice President, Cherylee Doenges; Secretary, Maureen Ferrell; Treasurer, Terry Johnston; Student Council Representative, John Fast. Before Christmas vacation we received our shiny new class rings which made us really feel like Juniors. We chose the Tiffany from the Josten Company. On March 20, we presented our class play entitled Girl Crazy , directed by Mr. Alt, which was a success. During the year we had the concessions at the ballgames which was a huge success due to our victorious team. We also held a skating party at Oakwood and held a class party during the year. We chose our class motto, They can, who think they can , our class colors, light blue and white, our class flower In May we gave the Seniors a banquet at the Yours and Mine Restaurant in Van Wert and a dance at the high school gymnasium. Our theme was Romance and Roses. Returning in the fall of 1965, we began our year as Sophisticated Seniors. We lost 5 class members: Gerald Morrison, Dana Puckett, Linda Ross, Douglas Talbott, and Fred Back. Our advisor was Mr. Eachus. We elected our class officers: President, Cherylee Doenges; Vice President and Student Council Representative, Vicki Sutton; Secretary, Maureen Ferrell; Treasurer, Patty Williamson, News Reporter, Teresa White. On October 23, we presented our final class play, The Ghoul Friend which proved a huge success. Mr. Williams was our director. In May the Juniors gave us a lovely prom and dance. We all had fun on our class trip. Our twelve years at Grover Hill School ended with our graduation in May. ' ■
