New members to our class were Barbara Ashbaugh, Betty Grindstaff, Cledity Farris, and Pat Wainscott. Our advisor was Mr. Walsh. We elected our class officers: President, John Fast; Vice President, Gary McClure; Secretary, Bonnie Foust; Treasurer, Maureen Ferrell; Student Council Representative, Cherylee Doenges. During the year we kept busy with a skating party, magazine sales, bake sale, and a class party. Beginning our year as Silly Sophomores we lost 4 members: Brooks Myers, Barbara Ashbaugh, Betty Grindstaff, and Kenneth Bowers. Our membership was 29, with the addition of Dave Aldrich. Our advisor was Mr. Wertenberger. We elected class officers: President, Debra Scarbrough; Vice President, Lonnie Miller; Secretary, Greg Johnson; Treasurer, Cherylee Doenges; ' 3-° Student Council Representative, Cledith Farris. Our money V making projects included a skating party, magazine sales, bake sale, and picking up corn for farmers of the area. We began our year as Jolly Juniors with the addition of Gerald Morrison and David Smith from Michigan. Our advisor was Mr. Birkhold. This year ' s officers were: President, Gary McClure; Vice President, Cherylee Doenges; Secretary, Maureen Ferrell; Treasurer, Terry Johnston; Student Council Representative, John Fast. Before Christmas vacation we received our shiny new class rings which made us really feel like Juniors. We chose the Tiffany from the Josten Company. On March 20, we presented our class play entitled Girl Crazy , directed by Mr. Alt, which was a success. During the year we had the concessions at the ballgames which was a huge success due to our victorious team. We also held a skating party at Oakwood and held a class party during the year. We chose our class motto, They can, who think they can , our class colors, light blue and white, our class flower In May we gave the Seniors a banquet at the Yours and Mine Restaurant in Van Wert and a dance at the high school gymnasium. Our theme was Romance and Roses. _ Returning in the fall of 1965, we began our year as Sophisticated Seniors. We lost 5 class members: Gerald Morrison, Dana Puckett, Linda Ross, Douglas Talbott, and Fred Back. Our advisor was Mr. Eachus. We elected our class officers: President, Cherylee Doenges; Vice President and Student Council Representative, Vicki Sutton; Secretary, Maureen Ferrell; Treasurer, Patty Williamson, News Reporter, Teresa White. On October 23, we presented our final class play, The Ghoul Friend which proved a huge success. Mr. Williams was our director. In May the Juniors gave us a lovely prom and dance. We all had fun on our class trip. Our twelve years at Grover Hill School ended with our graduation in May. ' ■CL Will We, the Senior Class of Nineteen Hundred and Sixty-Five of Grover Hill High School, Of Paulding County, and of the State of Ohio, being mentally unsound and physically weak, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last will and testament. Article I To the Faculty, we leave clean windows and a peaceful, quiet school. We also leave our sincerest appreciation for all their understandings and guidance during our school years. Article II To the Jolly Juniors , we leave half interest in our home room, and our ability to be clean, honest Seniors. Article III To the Silly Sophomores , we leave the half of our home room, because you are down there all the time anyway, and our old Christmas decorations. Article IV To the Green Freshmen , we leave our ability to earn all kinds of money. ARTICLE V After the execution of the above part of this, our last will and testament, the members of the class of 1965 wish our wordly possessions distributed as follows: I, Rick Booher , will and bequeath my ability to drive a car to Terry Caris , because he needs all the help he can get. I, Maureen Ferrell , will and bequeath a Dave Clark Five Magazine to Vicki Crone . After all it is yours anyway, you can have it back. I, John Fast , will and bequeath my ability to climb on top of the school house and soap windows and never get caught to Dennis Ladd . I, Debra Scarbrough, will and bequeath to Danny Price a straw hat, which he has already. Please wear it in good health!!! I, Gary McClure , will and bequeath my slim build to Rita Eaken . I, Vicki Sutton , will and bequeath my hot Chevy, to Harry Bland . Watch the temperature gauage!!! I, Loren Adkins , will and bequeath my ability to play golf and my nickname to Linda Farris . I, Patty Williamson , will and bequeath my gracefulness and my nickname Stumbelena to Jim Mohr . I, Lonnie Milller , will and bequeath my perfect build to Kenneth Russell . I, Thelma Russell , will and bequeath my height and red hair to Jane Schnipke . I, Pat Wainscott , will and bequeath my ability to study kssl to Roger Asbaugh . I, Terry Johnston , will and bequeath my nickname Teddy and my long blonde hair to Bob Taylor . I, Connie Yoh , will and bequeath my dark hair and long fingernails to Judy Bidlack . I, Dave Smith , will and bequeath my great green Ford to Alan Welch , after all you drove it more than I do. I, Cherylee Doenges , will and bequeath my freckles and my nickname Sticky , which I got from chewing the basketball boys gum, to Jim Foster . I, Cledith Farris , will and bequeath my ability to be the shyest boy in class, to Floyd Tracy . I, Barbara Edwards , will and bequeath all my nicknames to Trudy Golliver . I, Gregg Johnson, will and bequeath my ability to touch the basketball rim to Bob Thornell . I, Karen Ross , will and bequeath my slender figure to Don Priest . I, Carl Bendele , will and bequeath my ability to play football to Connie Ross . Be sure and watch those tackles. I, Tereas White , will and bequeath to Verl Dasher , all my knowledge of cars. Under the car with oil in his face That ' s Dave Aldrich in his favorite place. Enjoying the world as a millionair ' s wife Terry Johnston ' s very happy with life. Pilot Rick Booher is flying low Upside down is the way to go ! Whether you curl your hair or your ears, Deb Scarbrough ' s salon has been best for years. Since his favorite cars are GTO ' s Ford-dealer Lonnie Miller sells lots of those. When income taxes make you sweat See CPA Teresa White and you ' ll lose more yet. Bad guys and lunatics end up in jail When Detective Pat Wainscott gets on their trail. Now Connie Yoh skates all day long With her own Roller Rink she can ' t go wrong. The fines build up and make a fat roll For Carl Bentjele of the state patrol. If troubles plague you and sorrows surround Write to Dear Vicki , for an answer that ' s sound. With no anxiety and steady nerves, Mathematician Gary McClure likes angles and curves. For a daring ride or fear in flight Watch stewardess Thelma Russell and her pilot fight. Karen Ross can make hair-do ' s real fast And with a gallon of hair spray can make them last. Professor Johnson has many degrees His specialty is speeches and ABC ' s. Future gangsters and bank robbers cruel Are in Cherylee Donenges class at school. A hole in one most everyday. That ' s how Loren Adkins earns his pay. With a book on her head, and a walk that ' s straight Model Barb Edwards looks for a rich mate. With broken toes and fingers too, Cledith F arris will build a house for you. Preacher Smith has a large congregation, Makes him the richest guy in the nation. Patty Williamson takes dictation real fast As the bosses ' wife, her job will last.
