Read all about it! The 1977 Le Sabre staff has put together one of the school ' s best year of newspapers. They have provided our students with very good information of what ' s going on in and around our school. The staff is supervised by Mr. Hyde who keeps the students running around finding out what new topics are in debate or topics that are in the news. The stu- dents themselves get a better outlook at the different situations in the world, and some students look at this class as an opportunity for a job in the near future as a A ch nrfti reporter or broadcaster. r bliailil The Ashanti tribe of Africa had had its endless fight for freedom. Being brought to the new continent in the 1600 ' s, they were frightened and sick- ened of their new home. Time and time again they tried to escape, to flee from their hor- rible life, to stumble upon some new freedom that would lead their people to an equal salvation. That was the goal of the slaves of the Ashanti tribe. Here at Cleveland we have a club entitled the Ash- anti. This consists of a hand- ful of black- students who or- ganize drives and activities. Their main event is the Black History show which they put on during Feb. They had nu- merous skits and plays and a fashion show depicting the styles of the 70 ' s.
