PURE GRD We, the class of 1950, have witnessed the culmination of a half century of progress. Never has scientific research in any period of history produced such startling changes as in the first fifty years of the twentieth century. As this half century of miraculous inventions and discoveries ends, it is the fervent wish of the class of 1950 that each and everyone of us may contribute something worth while to the peace- ful advancement of the future in the hope of building a better World in the next half century to come. You came to us in 1931 and have been the director of instrumental music in our High School for the past eighteen years. Those of us who have worked with you will always remember your inspiring leadership and fine musical talent. We will ever appreci- ate the long hours of hard work and planning devoted to our musical organizations in the presentation of so many and varied programs. The rest of us can not forget the added zest your music contri- buted to our football games. Your sincere interest in and deep understanding of both the stu- dents and the school have helped to promote in our time a wider growth in music appreciation and school spirit.
