BAND ACTIVITIES 19-19-1950 The Band performed at all the home football games last fall. These games were with Canal XVinchester, New Albany, Hamilton. and Reynoldsburg. The Band members. Drum Major. and Majorette did a good job throughout the season. Next came the Pumpkin Show and the Band traveled to Circleville to march in the parade and to play in a concert. The Band played for the Lions Club Halloween Jamboree Night which was held at Capital University on March 31. The Band also traveled to NVesterville to play for the basketball tournament. The Band was heard in its Concert in April. This was a combined instrumental and vocal program. ORCHESTRA ACTIVITIES FOR 1949-1950 The Orchestra made its debut for the year 1949-1950 by playing for the operetta. uIVords and Musicf, Seven members of the Croveport High School Orchestra were selected for the All-County Orchestra which performed in a concert that was held on March 31 at Capital University. The group performed under the direction of Professor IVilbur Crist. Mark Zangmeister, our cellist. was selected to play in the All-Ohio High School Symphony Orchestra at XVilmington College. This was a very high honor for Mark and for Croveport School. The Orchestra played several selections in the Spring Concert. Their activities of the year were brought to a close with their participation in the Baccalaureate and Commencement exer- cises. -30-
