Not only does he guide the affairs of the high school with great skrll but is always at hand to counsel with each student. He helps to direct each student in choosing a career or vocation for the future. He teaches the values of life and education as well as encour- ages each individual to strive for a higher goal. Our Princqals To be able to carry out the position of junior High Principal, one must possess patience, kindness, fair ness, firmness, and leadership. Mr. Pritchard, our Junior High Principal, fulfills each of these require- ments to the utmost. Mr. Huggins, our Grade School Principal, spends much of his time directing the future generation. He always has time to aid, as well as to instruct, each child with his problem. His patience in handling disagreements glalllcesl him a striking figure in the faculty of our Grade c oo . 9

A Message nz our Superintendent to the Student Dear Students: THROUGH THE YEARS, I especially address these words to the gradu- ating seniors. It has been a pleasure and, in short, a treat, to have gone through the last 12 years with you. We have worked together, played together, laughed to- gether, yes, and wept together. These have been exciting years, the greatest we have yet lived. It has been the years of jets, flying saucers, sputniks, echoes, Congos, Cubas, youth move- ment in office, crash programs, duck tail hair cuts and hound dog tunes. However, amidst it all, we have kept our sanity and have not lost sight of what school means and why it exists. We congratulate this fine student body on this yearbook publication.
