Loud moons and groans could be heard from almost every marching bond member on rhe practice field. They know deep in their hearts that oil of rhe work will be worth ir when they hear rhe booming applause from rhe audience Practice wos o key port of our 1986 Grove Gry High School Marching Bond's success. Bond Comp wos rhe second and third week in August. The following week they polished their show ond were ready for their first preformance. From then on they stayed after school or least twice o week, working on their halftime shows or porode marching. This yeor instead of only four songs, there were approximately eleven different songs ployed in numerous shows. De spite rhe football ream's tosses, rhe bond still hod fun and preformed or its best. Bond this yeor meant o tor of work. We hod o new director, ond we seemed ro get more accomplished All in oH we hod o great year!'', soid senior Darren Morton.
