Through the use of language we are able to express ourselves to others around us. Our language is a communica- tion, a means of getting along in friendly groups, in clubs, in classes, and in business situations. The competitive spirit in the world today pro- vides a greater need for a more extensive knowl- edge of languages. For this reason English, French, Latin and Spanish are the subjects in- cluded in this department. It is said that in a few more years the unfortunate person who does not keep up with modern-day science will not even have the ability to read the daily paper Without running into phrases or words completely over his head. With this in mind, Grove City High School is making sure that the students have a good science background. Some of the courses available to stu- dents are biology, the science of lifeg physics, the study of matter and its motionsg and chemistry, the science of the composition and transforma- tions of substances.
