CLASS HISTORY 1953 1954 Wnth unlmaglnable awe we entered the lvned Halls of Groton Hugh as Seventh graders Muss Wlnch qulckly orlented us to parlramentary procedure but neverthe less our class meetnngs gained the very apt adlectnves of organrzed confusnon Our frrst class officers were presndent Harrrs LeRoy vnce presrdent John Hoell secretary Sandra Sawyer treasurer Helen Babcock The Chrnstmas card campalgn started our treasury and enabled us to get our class banner of Gold and Blue 1954 1955 Mr Wzlllams gunded us through the eighth grade and nt was for hum that we affectlonately named our mascot Wullne the Owl Offucers for the year were presndent John Hoell vlce presrdent Bull Sawyer secretary Dottre MacMrllan treasurer Helen Babcock We celebrated Valentlnes Day wnth our fnrst class dance Cuplds Capers There couldnt have been more fun nn the plannnng the dancnng andthe grownng treasury 1955 1956 As verdant Freshmen we met our flrst homeroom split Mr Tnvnan and Mr Scozzafava helped keep us together through the year Class offlcers were pres treasurer Helen Babcock Another successful dance was sponsored Shamrock Shuffle 1956 1957 The gay young Sophomores wended through the year with Mass Haskell and Mrs Brody John Hoell was our presndent agaln and other officers were vlce presldent Paul Hallet secretary Barbara Young treasurer Nancy Morse The year also saw two dances Post Ghost Ball and 8 Oclock Rock What a time everyone had at the food sale' 1957 1958 The lolly Juniors started the year wuth a crack of Mr Harrington s polnter on the blackboard of our new homeroom The year was a busy one and more dances helped with the treasury bulldlng effort Officers were presldent Paul Hallet vlce presldent Pattue Smuth secretary Barbara Young treasurer Gerry Wendman 1958 1959 Sensor year Yes as last we became Sensors Mr Harrungton was our advisor again and none could have been a better one Our officers were president Paul Hallet vlce president Davnd Payton secretary Sandra Sawyer treasurer Gerry Weld man Unforgettable are the many experlences we shared together throughout our hugh school days 'N , I . . . .
