Helix Stadium was filled with the sounds of excited fans and clashing hel- mets at the annual football carnival held the Friday before school started. The Foothillers, playing against No. 1 Helix, put forth a great eftort while pro- viding an entertaining night. The sta- dium was filled to capacity as fans watched not only the first performance of our team but also the first appear- ance of our marching band and cheer- leaders. From all first impressions, 1981 promised to be an exciting year.

Blue and Gold Ring True Each fall brings many new students to the campus. Their first week back at school, students may participate in a variety of activities to express their school spirit. Competitions were held for the most original t-shirts and hat and sun glasses, while students displayed blue and gold all week long. Above Right: Miss Jane Lambert's hat was not only eye catching, but provides an effective respite from the sun. Below Right: The ASB joins in song in a special effort to welcome the freshmen.
