Daisy Chain Leads Graduation After a week of deliberation by the faculty and administration, forty Juniors were awarded the honor of being selected for the Daisy Chain. Each year students are chosen on the basis of scholastic merit and participation in extra-curricular activities. At graduation these twenty girls and twenty boys formed a procession carrying a chain of daisys and ivy for the opening ceremony. Ten students were also chosen to be ushers. On the Wednesday before graduation, the group went up to San Marcos in station wagons and after a couple hours returned with the cars overfiowing and decorated with an abundance of daisys. Graduation morning, they again met to put the chain together. lVlore than twenty hours of work was contributed to the total making of the chain. Despite the confiscation of all water guns, the traditional event was fun for all who participated. At the conclusion of graduation day, many of the Daisy Chain members and Ushers, still in their dresses and tuxedos, went for dinner to Alfonso's in La Jolla, to end a memorable experience. l l l l 14 Daisy Chain l
