J.V. wrestling coached by Frank Marsh got off to what looked a promising start this year by defeating Mission Bay High lnon-leaguel with only seven pins to their thirteen. Mission Bay went on to take their league championship, while we ended with a 1-6 record. Injuries inhibited their potential in league play, although there were a few outstanding individuals. Tracksters Leave Trail Of This year's varsity track team was picked to finish near the top of the Grossmont League. ln the first league meet, Grossmont tied EI Capitan, who were picked to come in first, 68-68. Coach Karnopp had some very fine talent in hurdler Jim Jones and sprinters Mike Manzer and Bob Kronenbitter. In the distance events there were Bob Wilson and George Pullen.
