Their round table discussions and decisions on major school problems have helped to make our school one of the finest in the field of student government. The Cuyamaca Conference, an annual student government program, helps new commissioners to under- stand their duties and the problems they will be facing. The nominating convention, held each year and patterned after national conventions, brings out student interest in both na- tional and school government. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council is perhaps the most important function in our democratic school government. Each home room elects a representative to represent the class in the student council meetings. The representative, in turn, reports back the matters discussed for vote and suggestions from the class. Each student, in this way, has a voice in the functions cf the school. ' S .sth xxx I Ft , Timm: Fwy F 5351 is r X lm W Q G' Mk, 1 ,wswqi 'Nb ,, 'xi ' P. ' in aft! 43, If 1 ' , V Afkm LQ? '- R 6. These jobs in civil service are valuable training to students who plan to run for o commission office, as it gives them an opportunity to learn the details of the job. THE TICKET SQUAD The ticket squad, under the depart- ment of finance, has charge of the handling of tickets for all school events. The next time you step up to the window to buy a ticket, remember the time and hard work that goes into this service to the school. FOOTBALL PROGRAMS Featuring pictures of the football teams, stars, specialties, and the latest sports news were those snappy football programs turned out this year, Foot- ball programs are helpful at games for keeping track of the players, and they also make colorful confetti in case you forgot to bring some from home. THE ELECTION BOARD ln charge of voting and counting ballots the election board has a tre mendous job to do.
