This year the Associated Student Body, under the direction of Mr. Gilbert Judy, brought about the organization of the Boys' Federation, promoted and cooperated with the Senior Board, Foothill Echoes, and El Recuerdof and sponsored a dance and Tacky Day. Lack of an auditorium during much of the year made it impossible for this organization to carry on many of its usual activities. A. S. B. officers were: jack Abbott, presidentg Bill Chilvers, Raymond Foster, Dick Grau, Leon Swoboda, and Marjory McKinney as Commissioners of Affairs, Athi letics, Public Works, Finance, and Welfare, respec- tively, Mary Alice Crippen, Clerkg Asaye Takasaki, Bookkeeper, Betty Burke, Bookstore Manager, and Winona Richards, Ticket Supervisor. Yell leaders were Ruth Bagby, Florence Eastman and jane Phillips. Eight THE SENIOR BOARD The Senior Board, popularly known as the G. G. G. Board, is a very important factor in keeping the Grossmont grounds in order. This board of fifteen seniors, chosen by the Girls' League adviser and the Commissioner of Public Works, meets once a week, and with the general cooperation of the school has very etiectively carried out its motto: Groom Grossmont Grounds. A drive held by this board, in which members of the school signed pledges, proved most successful in enforcing the G. G. G. laws. George Bailey acts as judge of the group, while Mary Anne Bliss is secretary, Bob Crowningshield, assistant secretary, Marjory McKin- ney, doorkeeperg Leon Swoboda, sergeant-at-arms, jack Abbott, summonerg and Harriet Cross, assistant summoner. Miss Ethel I. Prosser advises this group.

Richards Treganza Bailey Offord Roge' Goug Erwir Howz r ' ministrc1tion THE GIRLS' LEAGUE The Girls' League has brought about greater co- operation among the Grossmont girls through its various service and social activities. This year two Freshman Welcomes, two dances, the Christmas Giv- ing, a faculty tea, the Dad and Daughter Banquet, and the Mother and Daughter Reception were suc- cessfully carried on. Also the League found it neces- sary to revise its constitution and make a change in the girls' regulation uniform. Officers are: Winona Richards, president, Marion Rogers, vice-president, Adalaida Treganza, secretary, Elsie Gough, treasurer, Mildred Durham, service chairman, Asaye Takasaki, uniform chairman, Ruth Bagby, program chairman: Betty Notestine, decoration chairman, Peggy Lou Blodgett, refreshment chairman, and Mary Alice Crippen, social chairman. Miss Ethel I. Prosser advises the League. THE BOYS' FEDERATION Revived this year after a lapse of six years, the Boys' Federation was placed under the direction of Mr. LaZelle Smith. The service aims have been fulfilled remarkably well, a Red Cross drive and a Freshman Welcome having been sponsored soon after the installation of the officers. Among the social affairs a Red Cross dance, a Barn Dance, and the Mother and Son Banquet were especially promi- nent. A Spring Hop and Variety Show were held in cooperation with the Girls' League. Oihcers are: George Bailey, president, Victor Howard, vice presi- dent, Harold Erwin, secretary, Ray Olford, treasurer, Bob Moore, service chairman, Edward McCleave and Robert Alvarez, traditions chairman, George Mukai, publicity chairman, and 'lack McClure and Bob Crowningshield, activities chairmen.
