This year the Associated Student Body, under the direction of Mr. Gilbert Judy, brought about the organization of the Boys' Federation, promoted and cooperated with the Senior Board, Foothill Echoes, and El Recuerdof and sponsored a dance and Tacky Day. Lack of an auditorium during much of the year made it impossible for this organization to carry on many of its usual activities. A. S. B. officers were: jack Abbott, presidentg Bill Chilvers, Raymond Foster, Dick Grau, Leon Swoboda, and Marjory McKinney as Commissioners of Affairs, Athi letics, Public Works, Finance, and Welfare, respec- tively, Mary Alice Crippen, Clerkg Asaye Takasaki, Bookkeeper, Betty Burke, Bookstore Manager, and Winona Richards, Ticket Supervisor. Yell leaders were Ruth Bagby, Florence Eastman and jane Phillips. Eight THE SENIOR BOARD The Senior Board, popularly known as the G. G. G. Board, is a very important factor in keeping the Grossmont grounds in order. This board of fifteen seniors, chosen by the Girls' League adviser and the Commissioner of Public Works, meets once a week, and with the general cooperation of the school has very etiectively carried out its motto: Groom Grossmont Grounds. A drive held by this board, in which members of the school signed pledges, proved most successful in enforcing the G. G. G. laws. George Bailey acts as judge of the group, while Mary Anne Bliss is secretary, Bob Crowningshield, assistant secretary, Marjory McKin- ney, doorkeeperg Leon Swoboda, sergeant-at-arms, jack Abbott, summonerg and Harriet Cross, assistant summoner. Miss Ethel I. Prosser advises this group.
