Hollis will long remain the idol of many Groom High F ans. Rurus DODGEN ------ - - - - - - Forward Rufus always knew where to get and when to mlove. He was a man that fought hard, used system, and always made a basket when the opportunity presented itself He has one more year to play with us. Jos STUBBLEFIELD - - ----- - ----- Guard Joe was little but always on the job and in the way when the opponent got the ball. He was fast on the job, he could be a forward if need be. His ability to get hold of the ball and work it down toward the goal was an asset to any team. Page Fifty-Eight

PA TH F INDER-'27 MARVIN MARSHALL-Captain - ---- - - - - Guard Was an all round player and worthy of any position. He was a leader and knew how to handle the team when the Coach was absent: and gave his men the best ad- vantage in every play. WALTER PooL - - - ----- - ----- Forward jack was death on goals. All that was necessary was to feed him the ball. One little dribble and the ball would go through. LEE CROWELL -----. - --.-- - - Center Lee played the game while he was in it, and he always made the other fellow jump for the tip off NEVIN E. TROSTLE - - - ----- ' - - - Coach He is a true coach and derives the greatest satisfaction from tutoring young fel- lows in the enjoyment of sport for sport's sake. PAUL MoRRow ----- - ----- - - - Guard Paul was a man with reach, speed and accuracy. He was already to go and was not slow in making goals. He was a great asset to our team. EDGAR SKELTON - - - - ----- - - - - - Center Edgar had the reach, willingness and ability. He played a steady game of which any man would be proud. With this year's credit and experience he will be a credit to Groom High next year. l l WILLARD FRANKLIN ---- - - - - - - - - - Guard Willard was a fast and hard player that kept the ball away from the other fel- low's goal. He did his best until the last whistle. He trains consistently and willing- ly enters the game at critical moments when he is needed to fill the place of an outgoing teammate.
