To scan the traditional events of Homecoming, Thursday afternoon our student body joined together to build the best bonfire ever at Goat Field. Thursday evening the fire truck led our car parade through town to get our bonfire fired up.” While the senior football players started the fire, the crowd roared with cheers. Friday afternoon the spirit rose to a peak at our pep rally. To top the afternoon the Seniors won the spirit stick! Friday night came and excitement was in the air. Everyone was visiting old friends and anxious to see if our Goats would win and to witness the crowning of our Football Sweetheart. Finally, the moment came. June Fewell was named Sweetheart. Then the excitement grew as our Goats were victorious in sending the Cougars back to their dens. Celebrations continued throughout the night with a dance. Saturday brought Cartoon Characters of all kinds to town for our parade. Homecoming week-end came to a close with a rodeo, but the memories of our Homecoming victory will stay with us forever. me coming S3

Is Never Done Without the support of the student body and the cheering of the crowd our Goats would not feel like the special team they are. So we have twelve girls who spend their time showing our Goats how Groesbeck feels about them. These girls are our cheerleaders. They are responsible for the pep rallies, the games, the signs, and everything else that pertains to spirit for our school. The cheerleaders become a unique family after all of the hard work, tears, laughter, they share together. So, for these girls Spirit has a very special meaning. 7
