To the Sophomores we leave our quietness in the halls. To the Freshmen we leave all our scholastic abilities. We were such a smart class. SUSAN DAVIS leaves her ability to go swim- ming after the prom to Linda Gammell. KAREN CASEY leaves her sparkling smile to Judy Frazier, CONNIE PELZER leaves all her books to Mr. Lynch. ARLA PETERSEN wills her angelic Q75 be- havior to Janet Jobe. VIRGINIA S E DE R B U R G and HENRIETTA ROBINSON leave to become nurses. They figure that with all the sick underclassmen around they can be of service. MARY WHITE leaves her basketball spirit to Sally Easter. Signed, The Senior Class DOC KUNZE leaves his many trips to Lewis to Class History It was back in the year one thousand nine hundred fifty-nine that fifty eight timid freshmen entered the CCHS Missile Base and volunteered for flight into outer space. Everyone passed his examinationsg but Boydena Elliott, Connie and Donald Maben, Thelma Myers, and Richard Starlin lost interest in the course and orbited off to other planets. Mary Lou Loring arrived late but passed her exams with flying colors. As we began the second phase of our pre-flight training, we were joined by the astronauts from a neighboring base: Lois Armstrong, Susan Davis, Darlene Hering, Arla Petersen, Judy and Joyce Sanny, Steve Cavin, Burton Conn, Gary Hulsebus, Richard Nettz, and Jerry Rhoads. It seems a technician had crossed the wrong wires and burned their base down. Stanley and Donald Finnell and Mary Guilldiust dropped in to see what was going on. Donnie Ewing, Marilyn Redler, Joyce Sanny, Pam Tye, and O ean Watkins couldn't stand heights and quit training! with us. We were preparing to blast off w en Shelia Smith and Gary Oppold climbed aboard, Pat Parker, Mary Guill, and Mary Lou Loring stayed on earth to handle ground operations. David Adams and Jim Bea were not with us when we began the final phase of our pre-flight training. We stopped at a space station to refuel and picked up Dallas arlisle, Charles Carson, Wayne Ewing, John Murren, Jim Petty, Leon Putnam, Denny Rasmussen, Bill Templeton, Donald Tye, Larry Wendt, Marlene DeWitt Paula Gammell, Nancy Gimmell, Caroline Hultquist, Jana Menke, Pat Parker, Virginia Sederburg, Mary White, and Susan Willoughby. Leon Putnam speeded up and completed his journey before the rest of us. Jim Petty enjoyed the green cheese on the moon so much that he decided to stay. , , Seventy-four of us,having completed our journey, returned to the G.C.H.S. Base to receive our diplomas before beginning our solo flights in life.
