We elected Max Miller, presidentg Jadene Bridger, vice-president and Rose Marie Rabe, secretary-treasurer. Sophomores on the Student Council are Max, Paul and Jadene. Dennis Rudig soon left us and Juanita Helton joined us the second semester. Our class is well represented in extracurricular activities. Boys out for football were: David, Vernon, Ronnie C., Ronnie G., Paul, Ronnie J., Curtis, Scott, Jack P., Jerry, Jim R., Jim S., Jim T.3 for basketball: Gordon A., Ronnie C., Ronnie G., Paul, Curtis, Max, Scott, Marvin, Jack P., DeWayne, Richard, Dennis T. and Jim T. Girls out for basketball were Dolores, Eleanor and Connie. Those in instrumental music are: Shirley, Gordon A., Shirlene, Ronnie C., Ronnie G., Nancy. Paul, Larry H., Ronnie J., Max, Mary Ann, Karen P., Karen R., Rose Marie, Jim R., DeWayne, Sharon S. and Roberta. ln vocal music are: Shirley, Ruth A., Sharon H., Nancy, Karen R., Rose Marie, Sharon S., Roberta, Mary Helen, Gordon A., Paul, Ronnie J., Marvin, Jack P., Jim R. and Wayne. Those on the Tiger Staff are: Jadene, Harriett, Ruth E., Ronnie G., Mary Ann, Karen R., Sharon S. and Connie. Those taking part in declamatory contest were: Harriett, Paul, Myrtle and Karen R. One Sophomore, Phyllis Lary, was a cheerleader. Girls in F.H.A. are: Shirley, Ruth A., Jadene, Shirlene, Harriett, Joan, Nancy, Karen P., Karen R., Rose Marie, Sharon S., Roberta, Connie, Phyllis and Mary Ann. JUNIOR C LASS OFFICERS Sharon McCullough--President Russell Winger--Vice-President Galen Shafer--Secretary-Treasurer Junior Class History At long last we have become upperclassmen. The officers we elected at the beginning of the year are: Sharon McCullough, presidentg Russell Winger, vice-president and Galen Shafer, secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Pontius is our class sponsor. In November we received the class rings ordered the previous month. On November 12th we presented our class play, Our Miss Brooks , a three-act comedy. Almost everyone in the class helped to make the play a success. The cast was: Miss Brooks ...... Sharon McCullough Doris ............ Deanna Harman Miss Finch . . ..... Jane DeKay Marge . . . . Priscilla Drake Sylvia .......... Roberta Kimpson Basketball Player ..... Galen Radford Although ours was the smallest class in high school, we took a prominent part in every activity of the school. We had seven girls and three boys in basketball. one girl and one boy as basketball managers, four boys in football, three cheerleaders, three librarians, five on the Tiger Staff , ten girls in glee club, eleven girls and four boys in mixed chorus, two boys in octet, eighteen members in band, five out for declamatory ftwo of these in the one-act play, alsoi, fifteen boys in F.F.A. and ten girk in F.H.A. In the spring we entertained the Class of '55 at the Junior -Senior Banquet, which was the last big project of our year, The year has been a lot of work and a lot of fun and provided us with many happy memories for the future.

Freshman Class History There were fifty-seven Freshmen the day school opened and there are fifty-seven the day the annual goes to press. Frank Ratzlaff was with us only one day, Karen Nichols joined us in Sept- ember, Edward Stephens moved away in November and Roger Hull entered in December! Oux home room is almost bursting at the seams: and wherever we are, there's a bustle of activity. Look at the football picture-- you'll find Ackerman, Anderson, Dorsey, Fichter, Holmes, Myers, Ruppert, Sutherland and Wohlenhaus among the players and Ireland as manager. Myers, Ruppert, Anderson, Holmes, Ackerman, Ireland, Hensley and Sutherland were out for basketball. Basketball girls were Bishop, Frazier, Miller, Bridger, Pardun, Watkins, Kenworthy and D. Riepe. In Senior band you'll find Book, Frazier, Morgan, Myers, K. Riepe, Sutherland and Watkins. In Junior Band: Ackerman, Anderson, Bates, Foster, Fender, Gustin, Hensley, Ireland, Leighton, D. Riepe, Rowe, Slocum, Steffen, Swanson and Weaver. And just look at vocal. Mixed chorus: Boseck, Weaver, Book. Piittmann, Sutherland, Acker- man, Ireland and Myers, Octet: Myersg Girls' glee: Bishop, Bliss, Boseck, Kenworthy, Pardun, Radford and Watkins. The twenty girls in F.H.A. are: Bates, Bishop, Bridger, Bliss, Dorsey, Gustin, Johnson, Miller, Morgan, Newman, Nichols, Pardun, Radford, D. Riepe, K. Riepe, Rowe, Schimdt, Steffen, Sunderman and Tietz. Ten boys in F.F.A. are Anderson, Blanchard, Dorsey, Foster, Hensley, Hull, Keeton, Leighton, Paulsen and Swanson. There are seven in declamatoryz Holmes, Mercer, Myers, Piittmann, K. Riepe, Schmidt and Tietzg three on Student Council: Bridger, Holmes and Myers. The six on the first semester honor roll are: Dorsey, Gustin, Hull, D. Riepe, K. Riepe and Watkins. Our class officers are: President, Larry Myers: Vice-President, Davy Weaver: Secretary- Treasurer, Ilene Watkins. With a start like this we surely should go far. Watch our smoke for the next three years.
