M iss Daft As Freshmen we started out with fifty- five members, twenty-six girls and twenty- nine boys. We were well represented in the extra- curricular activities. There were fourteen girls and boys out for glee club. Five girls and three boys in mixed chorus, two girls in sextet and twenty-three in the various band groups. In the sports field there were seven boys in football, nine girls and eleven boys in basketball. One girl was on the Tiger Staff and two were out for de- clamatory. An all school picnic and skating party and the conference dance were high lights of the year. R HIGH Fifty-three Sophomores started in the fall of '52. We were well represented in extracurricular activities. We had twenty- three students in band, thirteen in mixed chorus and ten girls in glee club. In athletics we had nine girls and five boys participating in basketball. Five boys were out for football. The football jamboree, the all high school skating party,- the all school picnic and the conference dance were big events of the year. Dolores Shipley CLASS SPONSOR ....... . . .Mrs. Pontius In the fall of '53 there were fifty-two members of the Junior Class. We were well represented in the extracurricular activities of our school. In the vocal music field we had seven boys and sixteen girls in mixed chorus, nine boys and twenty girls in glee clubs, three girls in sextet and two girls in trio. There were four girls and three boys as soloists. There were eight boys and thirteen girls in instrumental music. In the sports field we had three boys out for football and three girls and three boys in basketball. We also had ten on the Tiger Staff . There were three cheer- leaders and six out for declamatory. There were fifteen boys in F.F.A. and sixteen girls in F.H.A. On November 13th we presented our class play entitled, Don't Take My Penny. Our candidates for Varsity Follies Queen were, Elaine K., Dolores Shipley and Sandra P. Just before Christ- mas we received our class rings. The Junior-Senior Banquet was a memorable occasion. S CHOOL DHYS There were forty-nine members in our class in the fall of '54. Our class is well represented in extracurricular activities. There are twelve girls and six boys in instrumental music, sixteen girls and seven boys in vocal music. In the field of sports we have three boys out for football, four boys and two girls out for basketball. Also several boys out for track and baseball. On November 15th we attended Court Day at the courthouse in Atlantic. We learned more about court procedure. On December 9th we went to the Atlantic High School for Career Day. Other high lights of the year were: Junior-Senior Banquet, Conference dance, class picnics and parties, Skip Day and finally the numerous activities of Commencement week.
